Charalampos Papadimitriou

Biography

Charalampos is a Physics and Psychology undergraduate double major at Georgia Tech. His research interests are varied by subject, including interests in Quantum Physics, Biophysics, Non-Linear Dynamics and Chaos Theory, Nanotechnology, Neuroscience, and Psychophysics. These diverse interests are tied together by the desire to mathematically quantifying different complex phenomena.

As such, Charalampos is currently working on a mathematical modeling project, modeling predictions from Signal Detection Theory, Choice Theory, and other detection models. He is also working on other projects including a project for the NSF regarding improving visualizations for algorithms. In physics research, Charalampos is involved in a research project involving etching nanopores and micropores on silicon for applications in gas sensors and other devices.

Outside of research Charalampos is interested in art, mainly in computer graphics, and writing, and spends much of his time improving his artistic and writing techniques. He also likes working with computer programming, and in the past has created and improved software used in the Vision Lab.
