Bath-Ammi Garcia

Biography

Bath-Ammi Garcia is a junior psychology major here at Georgia Tech. She has been a member of the vision lab’s research team since August of 2005. In the Spring and Fall semester of 2006, Bath-Ammi was awarded the President’s Undergraduate Research Award. She is currently working on a project that involves a visual search task as well as human-computer interaction.

Bath-Ammi is also a member of several campus organizations including the African American Student Union (Vice President) and the Georgia Tech Society of Black Engineers.

In addition to her activities in school, Bath-Ammi is an active member in her community. She is a member of Hands on Atlanta and volunteers with them regularly. Last year, she was also awarded the AmeriCorps grant for working with children in a local pre-school called Sheltering Arms. In her free time, Bath-Ammi enjoys reading books, writing poetry, and painting.
